This Position reports to:
Engineering Manageryour role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as project engineer for design, engineering, testing and commissioning of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS/SI). You will be part of global engineering team supporting 20+ countries in delivering functional Safety Lifecyle activities for energy industries.
The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite/Hybrid
This role is contributing to the Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Experienced in the selection, specification, configuration, testing and maintenance of safety instrumented systems (SIS) following IEC 61508/ 61511.
- Experience in oil & gas process knowledge, strong understanding of process units and business drivers. Experience and
- knowledge of instrument and control systems through design and field installation.
- Ability to design and engineer SIS using safety requirements specifications, alarm specification, cause and effect diagrams, system block diagrams, logic narratives and function / logic block diagrams.
- Proficient with SIS hardware design, system design, software design, application programming and HMI graphics development.
- Proficient with SIS design including functional design specifications, response time calculations, test specifications and SIL verification calculations.
- Proficient with Database Management-MSSQL , OPC-DA ,OPC-HDA , OPC-AE and OPC-UA.
Qualifications for the role:
- BE /B Tech (Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical).•
- 5 to 8 years of experience in SIS design including functional design specifications, response time calculations, SIL achievement
- Thorough understanding of P&ID symbology and presentation techniques
- Thorough understanding of Safety Systems like ESD /PSD /BMS / FGS etc.
- Knowledge of instrument maintenance practices.
- Experience to ABB AC800M High Integrity (Preferred)
- Must be willing to travel to customer sites for commissioning activities of SIS.
- Experience to Safety Lifecycle Management Tools
