Technician I, Facilities Engineering - Evening Shift

We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Facility Maintenance Technician, supporting our Technician Manufacturing Team, you will be trusted to maintain the facility infrastructure and critical systems to support our production environments at Houston, Texas US.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Maintain and repair machines and equipment
• Perform Preventive Maintenance (evaluate, modify, originate - PMs)
• Support Facilities Group activities (Shutdowns, capital projects, continuous improvements, PIT teams)
• Document work accurately per company and regulatory policies (within Maximo, on test scripts/protocols, etc.)
• Communicate clearly, effectively, professionally with other team members, production personnel, and outside contractors/suppliers.
• Comply with all safety, environmental and cGMP requirements.
• Ensure the quality and environmentally compliant operation of the plant critical utilities to include but not limited to the DI/Purified water system, the clean compressed air system, boilers, chillers, and the HVAC systems.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• Location: Onsite
• Schedule: Thursday-Monday, 1:00p.m. – 9:30p.m.
• Travel Requirements: 0 – 10%
