We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Exchange, Sales, and M&A Leader to spearhead strategic growth initiatives through market expansion, business exchanges, high-impact sales partnerships, and targeted mergers and acquisitions. This role combines deep commercial acumen, deal-making expertise, and leadership in corporate transformation. Job Description:
- Strategic Commercial Support
- Research Opportunities: Collaborate with commercial, strategy, and analytics teams to identify new exchange sales and M&A opportunities. Evaluate market trends, deal structures, and competitive dynamics.
- Business Case Development: Work cross-functionally to model financial and strategic impacts of new opportunities. Coordinate with finance, legal, risk, and trading desks to align on assumptions and desired outcomes.
- New Business Data Strategy: Define the process and structure for capturing and analyzing new business data, enabling continuous commercial insight and decision support.
- Operational & Transactional Coordination
- Terminal & FM Coordination: Liaise with Terminals and Facilities Management (FM) teams to assess infrastructure capacity, constraints, and integration needs for prospective deals or transitions.
- Legal Coordination: Collaborate closely with Legal on drafting, negotiating, and executing commercial agreements (e.g., purchase agreements, transition contracts, confidentiality terms).
- Customer Transition: Lead and manage the onboarding or transition of existing contracted customers post-acquisition or agreement, ensuring minimal disruption and alignment with operational teams.
- Manage day to day exchange business to maximize profitability.
- Trading & Risk Management Support
- Exposure Hedging: Monitor and hedge open exposure linked to M&A transactions or sales deals in coordination with trading desks. Provide recommendations on instruments, timing, and execution strategy.
- Risk Feedback: Act as a key interface with the risk management team to provide feedback on exposures, deal structures, and ongoing commercial risks. Contribute to internal risk reviews and trading books alignment.
Additional Job Description:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years in energy trading, commercial sales, corporate development, or M&A within a supply and trading environment.
- Strong knowledge of commodity markets, physical trading, and financial hedging instruments.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience coordinating across legal, operations, and risk functions.
- Bachelor's Degree Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
Pay Range:
$160,500.00 - $240,800.00The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
