About the role

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections,  where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

As the Workforce Strategy & Planning Lead, you will be the strategic intelligence behind how Roche's Digital & Technology (RDT) organization anticipates, plans, and shapes its future workforce. This is a senior global individual contributor role responsible for translating RDT's business strategy into actionable workforce implications – providing scenario insight and planning coherence to make informed decisions about talent supply and demand across the organization.

You will lead by influence and connecting long-term business ambition to workforce reality – maintaining the workforce dashboard logic that enables RDT-level visibility. By anchoring every workforce decision in data-driven foresight, you will be shaping how a global digital organization plans, adapts, and builds for the future.

Job Responsibilities

  • RDT Workforce Dashboard & Intelligence: Define, build, and maintain the logic behind the workforce dashboard, ensuring it delivers accurate, timely, and strategically relevant insight to RDT leadership. Ensures dashboard outputs are integrated with capability data and reflect a holistic view of RDT's talent landscape.

  • Strategic workforce planning coherence: Act as the steward of planning coherence across the RDT organization, ensuring that workforce planning assumptions, methodologies, and outputs are consistent across functions, sites, and geographies. Translate complex planning outputs into clear, compelling narratives for senior stakeholder consumption.

  • Federated planning enablement: Equip HR partners, site leads, and functions with the frameworks, tools, and guidance needed to execute workforce planning consistently across the federated RDT model, enabling local teams to contribute meaningfully to the global workforce picture. Leverage the RDT site network to ensure planning insights reflect both global strategy and local talent realities.

  • Workforce Intelligence: Responsible for designing and deploying a Skills Intelligence Platform (SIP) that serves as a centralized 'Digital Twin' of the RDT workforce. Integrates data from multiple HR, learning, finance, and workforce systems to build a holistic and dynamic picture of RDT's talent landscape. Develop scenario models and predictive analytics that generate forward-looking insight to support strategic workforce and capability decisions.

  • Stakeholder Management: Identifies and engages key stakeholders, including management, across organizational boundaries. Shapes strategy as a trusted advisor to leadership, actively navigates conflicts to achieve alignment, and empowers teams in stakeholder management.
