The Finance and Accounting team is responsible for the complete and accurate accounting for all the general process flows for the Balance Sheet and Income Statement. The role includes but is not limited to creating Sales Orders, Purchase orders, reconciling out of balances, monitoring ageing, and performing balance sheet reconciliations, while involvement in driving process standardization in the work area is imperative. Main Responsibilities:
- Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing compliance, internal audit & SOX requirements.
- Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process scope.
- Knowledge of the worldwide policies and procedures, identify compliance risks and recommend solutions.
- Analyze and resolve issues.
- Communicate with stakeholders
- On the job training for new team members and partners.
- Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities to achieve “adequate” internal and external audit ratings.
- Implement global strategy & solutions in line with taxonomy.
- Support Subject Matter Experts (SME's) and Operational Key Contacts (OKC's) to ensure cross sector, cross region, and cross process alignment - ensuring documentation is maintained and consistent to the global approach.
- Generate ideas, cultivate, and implement continuous improvement mentality, identifying and pursuing process efficiency opportunities.

- Supports ad hoc requests / projects
- Supports continuous improvement activities
- Assists with training fellow team members
- Participates in training to increase knowledge & skill
- Perform performance management activities
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of professional experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, MBA/ CA fresher/ part qualified Chartered Accountant or similar qualification preferred
- Learning agility and adaptability to different business requirements. These competencies are critical as this role will initially be part of the finance & accounting team’s pool of flex talent during onboarding, to be deployed to the permanent position once readiness criteria are met and as requested by the business units.
- Flexibility to be assigned in different shifts to support J&J's global services
- Strong team working and relationship building skills
- Ability to communicate well to team members at any level
- Good analytical proficiencies
- Ability to prioritize own deliverables and motivated to meet timetables
- Knowledgeable of general accounting concepts, rules and legal requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience with SAP or other ERPs an advantage
- Experience in a multinational corporation desirable
- US GAAP accounting knowledge preferred
