  • Build robust automation suites with Maestro and Playwright across native iOS, native Android, and web interfaces
  • Drive test strategy, traceability, and verification evidence in support of IEC 62304 and FDA submission requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, take ownership of features, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of QA engineering experience, including delivery in safety-critical, regulated, or otherwise high-reliability environments
  • Proven experience designing and owning end-to-end test strategy for production mobile applications on both iOS and Android
  • Extensive hands-on manual end-to-end testing experience for mobile applications and connected devices. Exploratory testing, scripted test execution, real-world usage scenarios, environmental and edge-case validation, defect reproduction and triage, and verification of fixes against physical hardware
  • Deep, hands-on experience with Maestro for mobile UI test automation. Flow authoring, parameterization, tags and selectors, custom commands, JavaScript hooks, and integration into CI pipelines
  • Solid command of UI test pyramids for mobile including snapshot testing, accessibility testing, and device-matrix coverage
  • Practical experience with mobile device farms and cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm, Firebase Test Lab)
  • Hands-on experience with API and contract testing (REST Assured, Postman/Newman, Pact, or similar) against backend services
  • Performance and reliability testing experience flake detection and reduction, retry strategies, test isolation, and quarantine workflows
  • Strong testing discipline around traceability: linking test cases to requirements in JIRA / Xray, generating verification reports, and maintaining audit-ready evidence

Strong documentation skills, including clear and concise authoring of test plans, test cases, test reports, and verification artifacts suitable for audit‑ready and regulated environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing software in regulated environments with working knowledge of IEC 62304, IEC 62366 (usability engineering), including the role of QA in software verification and validation (V&V)
  • Familiarity with FDA Software Validation guidance
  • Experience with Appium for cross-platform mobile test automation including hybrid app coverage, integration with existing test management tooling, and use as a complement to Maestro for scenarios requiring deeper native interaction
  • Experience in testing hardware‑integrated software systems, including BLE connectivity, embedded firmware validation, and basic electrical and power‑signal verification in collaboration with hardware teams
  • Awareness of relevant medical device safety standards (IEC 60601 series) and how software-driven test scenarios feed into system-level verification
  • Familiarity with secure handling of sensitive test data, PHI scrubbing, and synthetic data generation for healthcare applications
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and test management tools (Xray, TestRail) for traceable test documentation
  • Exposure to performance and load testing tools (k6, Gatling, JMeter) for backend service verification
