Job Description
Agilent is seeking a strategic and highly collaborative communications professional to lead communications for the newly integrated Global Operations organization and support the Chief Operations and Quality Officer. This individual will drive clear, consistent, and compelling communications that connect Agilent’s operational transformation, sustainability commitments, and enterprise priorities with employees, leaders, and other key internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting to the Director of Business and Organization Communications, the individual selected for this role will serve as the communications lead and adviser for the transformed Global Operations organization — partnering closely with senior leaders across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, regulatory, and operations strategy to help articulate business priorities, drive alignment, and support the execution of key initiatives.
The Global Operations Communications Lead also will support ESG and sustainability communications under the expanded scope of Global Operations, helping connect Agilent’s environmental stewardship, responsible manufacturing and operational sustainability to clear narratives that reinforce the company’s broader corporate commitments.
The ideal candidate is proactive, has experience advising senior executives and managing change, and brings a strong ability to translate business priorities into impactful and inspiring communications.
Responsibilities
Executive Communications
Serve as the primary communications partner to the Chief Operations and Quality Officer and Global Operations leadership team.
Develop and execute strategic communications plans that support change initiatives, business priorities, and leadership messaging.
Create executive-level content including, but not limited to, leadership messages, presentations, talking points, internal storytelling.
Support leadership engagement with employees through town halls.
Organization Communications
Translate complex operational topics into clear, accessible messaging for internal audiences — many of whom do not regularly access computers.
Highlight the impact of Global Operations in delivering customer value and enabling Agilent’s broader growth strategy.
Support enterprise-wide communications through the organization’s transformation.
Partner with business and functional leaders to ensure alignment and consistency across communications.
ESG and Sustainability Communications
Support communications related to ESG and sustainability initiatives.
Collaborate with External Communications, Investor Relations, and broader communications team on broader ESG messaging, including annual report.
Develop stories and communications that demonstrate Agilent’s broader sustainability goals and commitments.
Enterprise Coordination and Collaboration
At times, support other C-suite executive and organizations.
Explore and execute novel approaches to drive employee engagement.
Manage sensitive and confidential information on a regular basis with the utmost discretion.
- Provide regular communications updates for operational, executive, and ad-hoc reviews.
Location:
Commutable to Santa Clara, California preferred.
Qualifications
8+ years of communications and executive-communications experience.
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
Strong presence as a trusted communications adviser to top executives.
Ability to achieve positive results in a dynamic environment, often on short deadlines.
Experience managing business issues and navigating and synthesizing various viewpoints.
Experience leading change and transformation communications.
Ability to quickly understand Agilent’s business priorities to be effective.
Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills and the ability to develop outstanding executive presentations.
Must be able to simultaneously focus on strategy, tactics, and driving results.
A strong collaborator with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence teams.
Skilled at navigating a complex, matrixed organization.
Experience executing coordinated, impactful communications strategies and programs.
Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least April 7, 2026 or until the job is no longer posted.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $134,208.00 - $209,700.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
