About the role
he Control Monitoring & Insights Specialist plays a key role in operating Haleon’s continuous risk and control monitoring capability across D&T. The Specialist conducts ongoing monitoring of key controls, evaluates indicators of control health, analyses Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Control Health Indicators (KCHIs) trends, and generates insights that support early detection of emerging risks.
Working as part of a second‑line function under the Control Monitoring & Insights Lead, the Specialist executes automated and manual monitoring routines, performs data‑driven assessments, evaluates anomalies, and prepares evidence‑based reporting for stakeholders. The role collaborates frequently with Risk Oversight, Control Assurance & Advisory, Cyber Defense, Tooling teams, and first‑line control owners to verify exceptions, validate findings, and contribute to sustainable remediation planning
By providing accurate, timely, and actionable monitoring insights, the Specialist strengthens control effectiveness, enhances audit readiness, and supports Haleon’s ability to proactively manage risks across its technology and operational landscape.
Role Responsibilities
Execute continuous control monitoring routines, both automated and manual, to assess control performance across high‑risk operational and technology domains.
Collect, measure, and analyse Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Control Health Indicators (KCHIs) to identify early warning signs of control degradation or emerging risks.
Review monitoring outputs, evaluate anomalies, distinguish false positives from real control failures, and escalate issues according to defined frameworks.
Prepare dashboards, evidence summaries, and trend reports that highlight deviations, recurring patterns, and systemic weaknesses for review by the Lead.
Collaborate with Internal Audit, Risk Oversight, Control Assurance & Advisory, and Cyber Defense teams to validate issues, align findings, and support coordinated assurance.
Contribute to enhancing monitoring tooling, data quality, automation, and analytics capabilities by providing feedback and supporting adoption of new monitoring methods.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Engineering, or a related field
Hands‑on experience performing continuous monitoring activities (automated or manual).
Experience analysing KRIs, KPIs, or early‑warning indicators.
Strong working knowledge of ITGCs, application controls, cybersecurity basics, and technology operations
Practical experience using analytics platforms, dashboards, or log‑analysis tools for risk or control exception detection.
Experience collaborating with Internal Audit, Risk Oversight, InfoSec, or other governance functions
Familiarity with SOX, GxP, or regulated technology control environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced training in risk analytics, cybersecurity, internal audit, or data science is preferred.
Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or analytics‑oriented credentials are advantageous
4–7+ years in risk analytics, control assurance, continuous monitoring, cybersecurity operations, or IT operations.
Experience supporting automation of monitoring through telemetry‑based indicators, SIEM alerts, or compliance tooling.
Exposure to trend analysis, predictive indicators, or thematic risk reviews.
