THE JOB

Step into the heart of the action at Mandalay Bay as a Convention Services and Catering Coordinator! You’ll be the go-to support for our Directors and Managers, helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.  From preparing reports and handling confidential info to resolving guest needs and mentoring your team, you’ll play a key role in making every event and experience seamless and unforgettable.

You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us!

THE STARTING PAY RATE:  $21.00 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to the coordinator team, including leading all coordinator training and supporting development
  • Support Catering and Convention Services operations by assisting with proposals, contracts, BEOs, event resumes, and tracking/recording BEO changes and distributions
  • Manage administrative reporting and calendars, including pulling and distributing scheduled reports such as client budget reports, item usage reports, special order reports, and BEO runs
  • Maintain confidential records and event files, including closing documents such as client sponsor lists, affiliate bill backs, and negotiated sponsor pricing
  • Manage vendor invoicing and financial tracking, including processing through Coupa and verifying vendor revenue checkbooks
  • Oversee office operations and inventory, including ordering supplies, managing amenities and special purchases, and supporting new hire setup (equipment, phone/computer access, and LSR requests)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma, GED
  • One (1) year of prior relevant experience in guest services
  • Administrative experience within hospitality events, convention services and/or catering department preferred
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
