Registered Dietitian (RD) / Clinical Nutritionist - Outpatient Adult GI - Part-Time - Days - Columbia

 

Bring your acute and ambulatory care experiences to an organization that has contributed substantially to the study of nutrition and its relationship to various diseases. You will have the opportunity to educate colleagues and train dietetic interns, as you develop medical nutrition therapy programs to ensure optimal nutritional care. This exciting opportunity involves working with adult patients in ambulatory and patient centered medical home settings.

The ideal candidate must be a dynamic Registered Dietitian (RD) motivated to provide individualized in-person and/or virtual comprehensive medical nutrition therapy for a diverse  adult GI population in outpatient settings.  This opportunity enables the advantages of an outstanding skilled dietitian, working closely with GI and other interdisciplinary providers, to insure exceptional patient centered care experiences for our GI patients/families.

 

Preferred Criteria

  • Adult GI population experience

  • Outpatient nutrition experience

  • Bilingual Spanish/English

Required Criteria

  • Minimum of a Baccalaureate degree granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college/university or foreign equivalent

  • Completion of an ACEND accredited/approved Supervised Practice Program in Dietetics

  • Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) within 6 months; if the applicant is not registered upon hire, an ACEND verification statement indicating completion of an accredited/approved supervised practice program in dietetics is required

  • Certification by the State of New York as a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist NYS certification within 12 months

  • Minimum of 1 year of adult clinical nutrition experience

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
