Job Overview
Pulse is now recruiting Band 6 Paediatric Speech & Language Therapists to support Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust across their children’s communication and dysphagia pathways. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians confident working independently with paediatric caseloads, delivering face‑to‑face assessment and intervention across community settings.
You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team and contribute to high‑quality care for children with a range of communication needs and/or swallowing difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide face‑to‑face assessments and interventions across the Walsall locality
- Manage a paediatric caseload in communication and/or dysphagia
- Deliver independent Band 6‑level clinical work
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and wider MDT colleagues
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Contribute to service pathways supporting children and young people
Requirements
- HCPC‑registered Speech & Language Therapist
- Paediatric experience in communication and/or dysphagia
- Confident working independently at Band 6 level
- Ability to travel for in‑person visits (no remote working available)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Hours & Availability
- Up to 1–2 WTE available
- Monday–Friday
- 08:30–16:30 or 09:00–17:00
