Robotics Project Lead Engineer

Your Role and Responsibilities 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow our robotics business by expanding into the foodservice automation space. Leveraging our broad portfolio of products and cutting-edge technology, Service Robotics is focused on bringing the benefits of automation to customers in foodservice and retail environments—enhancing efficiency, consistency, and operational performance.

As part of the Service Robotics Operations team, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size projects acting as the technical lead for all engineering activities and ensuring that all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.

You will be mainly accountable for: 

• Supporting the proposal phase by engaging with customers to clarify requirements, define and adjust project scope, contribute to concept design, prepare technical solutions, estimate costs, assess risks, and coordinate vendor evaluations. 

• Taking a leading role on the engineering phase of the project by collaborating with the proposals team, the project manager and the project engineers on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, including modelling, prototyping, and calculations. 

• Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects. 

• Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors. 

• Contributing to R&D projects and standardization activities to drive innovation, improve processes, and ensure consistency across solutions.

Qualifications for the Role 

• You are highly skilled in and passionate about robotics systems and automation. Experience in foodservice, hospitality, or retail environments is a strong plus.
• You bring 4+ years of experience in robotics, automation, or related technologies, with a proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects.
• You have hands-on experience in technical solution design, system integration, and engineering execution, as well as supporting proposal phases (scope definition, costing, risk assessment, and vendor coordination).
• You demonstrate strong technical leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• You hold a degree in Engineering or a related field, with solid knowledge of robotics and automation technologies.
• You have excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
