About the role
Position Summary...
This role is part of the holiday marketing team working on Christmas gifting, décor, and gatherings during the holiday season and Walmart Deals events, such as Summer Deals and Black Friday, throughout the year. As Senior Manager, Marketing Planning and Strategy, you will be the strategic engine behind these moments, ensuring every customer touchpoint is thoughtfully planned, flawlessly executed, and deeply resonant.You’ll contribute toward the end-to-end marketing strategy and planning for these high-profile programs, working across media, creative, and company-wide business teams to deliver integrated, multi-moment campaigns that show up powerfully for our customers. You’ll bring some of the boldest marketing campaigns to life across full-funnel marketing channels including several unexpected activations and surprises for customers.
This is a highly cross-functional, fast-paced, and visible role that requires a strategic thinker, a detail-oriented planner, and a collaborative leader.
What you'll do...
- Strategic Planning: Contribute toward our marketing strategy and lead planning for Walmart’s holiday program, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer insights.
- Multi-Channel Campaign Execution: Develop and manage marketing activations that account for multiple customer touchpoints, including TV/OLV, high-profile integrations, influencers, affiliates, CRM, SEM and more.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with agencies, media, creative, site, and merchant teams to bring campaigns to life.
- Customer-Centric Thinking: Use data and insights to inform messaging, item curation, timing, and channel strategy to meet customers where they are.
- Executive Communication: Prepare and deliver clear, compelling updates and readouts to senior leadership.
- Performance Reporting and Optimization: Work closely with analytics and customer science teams to develop learning plans and insights. Monitor campaign performance and adjust tactics in real-time to maximize impact.
- Strategic Mindset: You think big and long-term, but also know how to operationalize and execute.
- Marketing Expertise: Deep understanding of integrated marketing, media planning, and customer journey mapping.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to influence and align diverse teams toward a common goal.
- Customer Obsession: Passion for understanding customer behavior and using insights to drive decisions.
- Strong Communication: You can write a killer brief, build a sharp deck, and present to execs with confidence.
- Agility & Drive: Comfortable in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and tight timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in marketing strategy, planning, or campaign management.
- Experience leading large-scale, multi-channel marketing initiatives.
- Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
