Impact in this Role
You will be responsible for scheduling work orders and act as a project engineer to address any in-process questions our manufacturers may raise, provide production status visibility to our builders, and mitigate major project risks that pose a threat to meeting our builders’ specifications. What You’ll Be Doing
Responsible for the post-sales order/program management in Fictiv China-
1. Coordinate with the costing &DFM or sales team for handing over the orders/programs requirement from the pre-sales quoting phase.
2. Work with the customer program manager to kick off the order/program and schedule the orders/programs to our manufacturing partner..
3. Manage the orders/programs from kickoff till delivery, included below but not limited to -
4. Manage the order/program planning with regularly tracking with manufacturing partners for the progress, ensure the orders/programs are on time and on quality to be shipped out.
5. Understand the customer technical/quality requirement, leverage your owned or team’s skill to troubleshoot the problem during production, include technical, quality, planning etc., provide the expertise guidelines to the team and manufacturing partner.
6. Bridge between global and multifunctional teams( Fictiv team in US, China, India, Mexico and manufacturing partners in China) for assigned orders/programs, ensure the requirements/problems/program status etc.are clearly communicated internally and externally.
7. Follow the procedure to properly manage the change internally and externally.
8. Coordinate the Fictiv China team for on time and on quality shipment for your assigned orders/programs
9. Provide the support to the customer facing and quality team for handling the customer complaint.
Desired traits
Requested Educational Background
- College degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, metal processing or Tooling Design & Manufacture or related engineering field.
Working Experience
- 0-5 years working experience in mechanical design, CNC machining, plastic tooling industry or in OEM, CM for hardware manufacturing, Project management experience is a plus.
- Technical Capability Good understanding of manufacturing processes, mainly in CNC, sheet metal or tooling, including machine types, processes, materials, finishing etc.
- Good understanding of 2D/3D drawings, understand basic Tolerance/GD&T symbols
Program management skillset
Possesses a good sense of urgency, demonstrated ability of owning and managing delivery schedules across tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills,Fluent in written and spoken English, experience working in multicultural environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with using structure tools like 8D/5W and etc.
- Supplier chain management experience is a plus
- PMP Certification is a plus.
This position will be required to work from our office in Guangzhou, China.
