Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and enforce FLS Quality, Health, Safety, and Occupational Health policies across all ongoing Services and Contracts.
  • Provide leadership to the Service Execution (SE) operational team—Contract Administrators, Planners, Lead Supervisors, Supervisors, Technicians, and Operators—aligned with FLS Values and Strategic Pillars.
  • Promote the use of analytical tools and advanced maintenance practices to drive Operational Excellence (Reliability, Predictive Maintenance, and Asset Management).
  • Ensure effective communication and deployment of the SAMER and SE Peru strategy across the team, including proper implementation and follow-up of Performance Development Reviews (PDR).
  • Develop and execute tailored commercial and operational strategies for each client within the assigned portfolio.
  • Lead the preparation and justification of budgets and forecasts for the respective operational units, in line with timelines established by Management and SAMER.
  • Oversee the preparation, validation, and issuance of Operational Execution Reports for SE Management.
  • Ensure full compliance with the annual Service Plan for Service Execution, including the comprehensive planning of shutdown activities to achieve safe, efficient execution in terms of time, cost, scope, client satisfaction, and workforce productivity.
  • Define, in coordination with Management, the execution strategy for services based on the approved technical and commercial scope.
  • Set internal goals and objectives for the area (primarily Supervisors and Planners), establishing KPIs and action plans to ensure achievement.
  • Strengthen and consolidate strong commercial relationships with key mining clients, particularly those within the operational portfolio under leadership.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience working in the mining industry in the same or a similar role, as Supervisor or Operations Chief
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong knowledge in Primary Crushers, Secondary Crushers, HPGRs, Mills, Flotation Cells, Thickeners, Filtration, Screening.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and business areas, with experience managing and tracking KPIs in coordination with functional and business leaders.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in the preparation and development of technical proposals for the mining industry.
  • Demonstrated passion for the mining industry, with a proactive mindset focused on innovation and making a meaningful impact within a global industry leader.
  • Experience working closely with both suppliers and customers in a mining or heavy industry environment.
  • Solid experience within the mining industry.
  • Intermediate level of English, both written and spoken.
