Job Description

EBAD seeks an accomplished engineer for the position of Supplier Quality Engineer reporting to the Supply Chain Manager in our Moorpark, CA facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement quality management plans.
  • Tactical support with NCR (nonconformance report) closure, root cause and preventive actions.
  • Supports Supplier selection.
  • Perform Supplier Audits.
  • ASL (Approved Supplier List) management.
  • Utilize QA/QC tools for measuring supplier performance that affect our products and services.
  • Measure and improve Supplier defect rates.
  • Issue internal and external supplier Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA).
  • Perform on-site source inspection.
  • Pareto NCR data within the ERP to help determine systemic challenges.
  • Work cross functionally within the Supply Chain, Engineering and Operations organizations to deliver conforming parts, on-time.
  • Provides advice and guidance in interpreting and adapting quality standards and government regulations.
  • Drive improvements utilizing Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and Problem-solving tools.
  • Analyze data effectively, summarize results, create reports, and use visual management tools effectively.
  • Work with EBAD receiving inspection to identify and improve systemic supplier issues for acceptance of hardware.
  • Track action plans from supplier audits and assessments and monitor their activity for completion and correctness on a daily basis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field of study required.
  • Supply Chain experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing practices, Problem Solving Skills and in-depth understanding ERP/MRP planning systems.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Quality Assurance experience.
  • Experience with quality standards including AS9100, and NADCAP.
  • Proficient interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
  • Minimum of five years’ experience Problem Solving, RCCA, five-why’s.  
  • Strong skills in MS Windows, including World, PPT, Excel and Project.
  • The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excels in a dynamic work environment.
  • Energetic, agile, and ability to work independently is a requirement.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
