Job Description
Friendship Hospital for Animals, a leading AAHA- accredited hospital located in Washington D.C. is seeking a professional and meticulous Veterinary Specialty Referral Coordinator to support our specialty services. If you’re passionate about communication and dedicated to ensuring seamless continuity of care across a variety of veterinary cases, we’d love to meet you!
About the role:
As our specialty referral coordinator, you’ll be the vital link connecting our referring partners with our internal medical teams. Working closely with our community outreach manager, you’ll help optimize referral workflows, follow up on cases, and provide support across our specialty services. Our ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and resourceful – someone who builds strong relationships, anticipates needs, and keeps calm under pressure.
Schedule: This is a full time role with four 10 hour shifts per week. Some weekends and holidays required.

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital, referral coordination, or client service role, preferably with some specialty technician experience
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary medical team.
