About Your Role:
As a Facilities Sample Room Coordinator at Dollar Tree’s corporate office, you’ll serve as the primary customer service contact for the Corporate Sample Rooms. You’ll support Merchandising, Space Planning, and Facilities teams by coordinating the organization, tracking, placement, and disposition of merchandise samples while ensuring efficient, safe, and well-maintained sample room operations.
Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Sample Room Operations & Inventory Management:
• Coordinate the Sample Room inventory process, supporting Merchandise Teams throughout the Sample Approval, stocking, staging, and disposal processes
• Manage the Inventory Samples Tracking Program, utilizing automated inventory systems to catalogue and control trip and product samples
• Ensure samples are stored, managed, and tracked in an organized and accountable manner to meet fast-paced business needs
• Maintain strict service level agreements (SLAs) to support Merchandising Buy Trips
Merchandising, Space Planning & Visual Support:
• Execute planograms and product placement, staging merchandise on fixtures in support of Space Planning operations
• Assemble store fixtures and move products and fixtures as needed
• Collaborate with Visual Merchandising Specialists and the Space Planning team on floor layout adjustments and fixture placement
• Serve as a resource for field operations questions related to sample store layouts and merchandising execution
Loading Dock, Mailroom & Receiving Operations:
• Receive and process all mail and product deliveries for the satellite Sample Room
• Support Mail Room Operations during high-volume periods
• Coordinate with shipping and mail partners on delivery confirmations, shipping claims, and issue resolution
• Assist with receiving and processing samples at the Store Support Center
Facilities, Safety & Administrative Support:
• Provide general facility support, including maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and security across all assigned Sample Room spaces
• Serve as the primary operational contact for the satellite Sample Room, managing building systems such as lighting, HVAC, and audio/visual equipment
• Support safety and emergency management initiatives, including operation of fire alarm and security systems
• Operate retail support equipment such as pallet jacks, trash compactors, and similar tools
• Support special projects and additional Facilities team needs, including conference room and A/V support as required
Your Required Skills and Experience:
• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in retail store operations, customer service, and/or administrative support
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to perform physical job duties including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable being on your feet and walking for much of the workday
• Willingness to work 40+ hours per week
Preferred Requirements:
• Forklift operator experience
