The Director, Market Access is responsible for defining and executing the market access, pricing, and reimbursement strategy for Corcept’s oncology portfolio in DACH. This role is critical to ensuring timely, sustainable, and compliant patient access through successful navigation of DACH complex access environment, including AMNOG, Institut für Qualität und Wirtschaftlichkeit im Gesundheitswesen (IQWiG) Bundesausschuss (G‑BA), Statutory Health Insurance (SHI) negotiations, and regional access dynamics.
The Director will report to DACH GM and serve as the market access lead for DACH, partnering closely with U.S. Headquarters Market Access, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Medical, Commercial and Legal and Compliance to drive optimal launch readiness, reimbursement outcomes, and long‑term access success.
Responsibilities:
Market Access Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and lead the DACH German market access strategy for Corcept’s oncology assets across the product lifecycle, from early pipeline through launch and post‑launch optimization
- Serve as the primary market access subject matter expert for DACH, advising senior leadership on access risks, opportunities, and strategic trade‑offs
- Ensure alignment between U.S. access strategy and local execution, providing clear input into German pricing, value, and evidence planning
- Collaborate with DACH commercial teams including marketing, sales, and medical
Pricing, Reimbursement & AMNOG Execution
- Lead DACH‑specific pricing and reimbursement strategy, including launch price positioning and lifecycle price management
- Own and drive the AMNOG process, including:
- Strategic input into dossier development
- Engagement planning for IQWiG and G‑BA assessments
- Preparation for SHI price negotiations and arbitration scenarios
- Partner with U.S. teams to translate clinical and economic value into compelling, compliant value propositions for German payers
- Coordination with Medical, HEOR/RWE, Clinical development, and Regulatory on evidence strategy that reflects both national and regional payer expectations
Stakeholder & Payer Engagement
- Lead strategic engagement planning with national and regional payers, sickness funds, and key decision‑making bodies
- Provide guidance and support for compliant payer communication strategies, in collaboration with HEOR/RWE, Legal and Compliance and Medical colleagues
- Monitor and assess evolving policy, regulatory, and reimbursement landscapes in Germany and proactively adapt access strategy
Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Act as a core member of the Germany Leadership Team, partnering with U.S. Market Access. Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, and other relevant functions
- Ensure market access considerations are embedded early in launch planning, forecasting, and business planning
- Contribute to regional and European access forums, sharing insights and best practices
- Uphold Corcept’s ethics and patient‑first principles by embedding collaboration, evidence‑based decision‑making, and accountable leadership into all aspects of strategy and execution
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
- Fluency in German and English required
- Extensive experience in pharmaceutical market access in Germany, with deep expertise in AMNOG, G‑BA, IQWiG, and SHI pricing negotiations. Experience in other EU markets is a plus
- Demonstrated success leading market access strategy for specialty and/or oncology products
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to operate at both detail and executive levels
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives in a highly regulated environment
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with credibility engaging senior internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategy and the ability to execute compliantly
- Moderate travel required, primarily within Germany, with occasional travel to regional or U.S. headquarters and key external meetings
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, PhD, MBA) preferred
