JOB SUMMARY:
The Department of History at Marymount University seeks applicants for adjunct faculty positions. Interviews will occur as open positions become available.
The Department of History values innovative approaches to pedagogy and interest in mentoring and supporting students of color, international students, transfer students, and first-generation students. Adjunct faculty will enjoy a supportive and collegial environment, as well as membership in the Washington Research Library Consortium.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach designated courses
Participate in staff graded midterm and final exams when applicable
Maintain office hours (1 hour per class per week) and advise students concerning their coursework
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Candidates must have completed the M.A. or Ph.D. in History or Politics or related fields and show active engagement in pedagogical development and scholarship.
