At Thermo Fisher Scientific, your work will directly contribute to improving patient care. As an Account Manager in Immunology, you’ll empower healthcare providers and labs to adopt cutting-edge diagnostic solutions, making a tangible impact on patient pathways and outcomes.

Day in the Life

Each day, you’ll strategize territory plans, meet with key decision-makers across Laboratory, Primary care & Secondary care, and guide them in leveraging our diagnostic portfolio. You’ll manage your pipeline from prospecting to closure, support tender responses, and foster relationships that lead to growth and patient-centred solutions.

What to Expect

You’ll operate in a dynamic environment, balancing autonomy with collaboration. Expect frequent travel within your territory, engaging closely with clients, and collaborating with internal teams to exceed targets. Every week presents new challenges, but also the satisfaction of seeing your work help patients.

Success in this role comes from your ability to build trusted partnerships, understand customer challenges, and translate those needs into tailored solutions. You will be proactive, commercially focused, and driven by delivering value for customers and patients alike. Strong territory planning, effective stakeholder management, and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles will enable you to consistently achieve and exceed your objectives.

Experience

  • Proven success in a field-based sales role, ideally within healthcare, diagnostics, medical devices, life sciences, or a related industry.
  • Experience managing complex sales opportunities involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets through strategic account management and business development.
  • Experience working with laboratories, healthcare providers, procurement teams, or clinical stakeholders is advantageous.
  • Previous involvement in tender processes, contract negotiations, and territory planning is preferred.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage customer engagement, pipeline development, and forecasting.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, laboratory environments, and patient pathways.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, develop strategic account plans, and execute effectively to deliver results.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and manage complex customer discussions.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse market trends, customer insights, and business performance metrics.
  • Highly organised with strong prioritisation, pipeline management, and forecasting capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a high-performing team.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic and evolving business environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Full, valid driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
