Job Description:

Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner CT Surgery – Provo, UT

When you join us, you’ll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of “helping people live the healthiest lives possible.”

About this role:

As an Advanced Practice Provider in CT Surgery you’ll work with 4 CT Surgeons, and 4 other Advanced Practitioners to provide top-notch care and patient experience. Throughout the day you’ll collaborate with Cardiologists in mostly an inpatient and OR setting.

  • You would practice at Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, UT
  • Your schedule will be Mon-Fri with 1:4 paid call
  • Call is one week at a time to include rounding on the weekends
  • Much of your time will be in the OR, and rounding in the hospital and ICU
  • We have a dedicated APP for the clinic, so time in the clinic is limited to maybe 1x/month
  • Assist surgeons in performing procedures during surgery
  • Perform Radial Artery and Saphenous vein harvesting

What you’ll bring: 

We hire people, not words on paper. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

  • Graduate from an accredited Physician assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Unrestricted Licensed as PA or NP in the state of UT, or able to obtain
  • BLS, ACLS, and DEA
  • 2 years of PA or NP experience in CT surgery with first assist highly desired. Candidates with this experience will be considered first
  • APPs with surgical experience will be considered
  • New grads with a CT Surgery or Surgical rotation will be considered
