Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Cardiology Electrophysiology – St. George, UT

About this role:
The St. George Heart Rhythm team is comprised of 5 EP Cardiologists and 6 APPs. As an Advanced Practice Provider for this team, you would work mostly with one assigned physician. Here are some highlights you can expect.
- You would work in the clinic in St. George, UT 4 ten hour day shifts Mon-Fri with your day off being determined by the department
- Approximately 1 week every 6-7 weeks, you would work in the hospital to include the weekend
- We have outreach locations in Cedar City and Mesquite in which you will periodically cover
- During the inpatient week, you would also take call for consults from the ED etc.
- Structured program is in place for device training
- This is a new position due to growth

What you’ll bring:

- Must have or be eligible for a current and unrestricted NP or PA Utah License
- APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program
- AANP or NCCPA certification
- BLS and ACLS certification, and DEA
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an NP or PA in a Cardiology setting, required
- EP experience highly desired

Physical Requirements
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.).
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period.
