About the Role
The Senior Analyst – Procurement Finance supports financial planning, reporting, and analysis related to direct material procurement across manufacturing locations. The role works closely with procurement, supply chain, and finance stakeholders to track commodity cost movements, analyze purchase price variances, and provide financial insights that support cost management and business decision-making.
This role is part of the Procurement Finance Centre of Excellence, supporting regional procurement and supply chain teams by strengthening financial reporting, analysis, and governance around material cost management.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze raw and packaging material costs and provide insights on commodity price movements and cost trends
- Track purchase price variances and identify key drivers of cost fluctuations
- Support month-end closing activities and procurement-related financial reporting
- Assist in preparing forecasts and financial analysis related to procurement and material costs
Cost & Productivity Tracking
- Support tracking of procurement productivity initiatives and cost improvement programs
- Maintain productivity trackers and validate financial impact of initiatives
- Provide analysis on the effectiveness of cost-saving initiatives and procurement strategies
Business Partnering
- Work closely with procurement teams to understand category cost drivers and supply market dynamics
- Collaborate with supply chain and finance stakeholders to explain cost variances and performance trends
- Provide insights on material cost impacts on category and business performance
Financial Systems & Data Governance
- Support maintenance of procurement-related master data, pricing information, and material standards in ERP systems
- Run and analyze finance and procurement reports from SAP or similar ERP systems
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, processes, and internal controls
Forecasting & Planning Support
- Support forecasting of raw and packaging material costs
- Assist in building financial models and analysis to evaluate procurement scenarios and cost sensitivities
Experience & Skills
Experience
- Approximately 3–6 years of experience in Finance within a multinational or manufacturing environment
- Exposure to Supply Chain Finance, Procurement Finance, Cost Analysis, or Business Finance roles is preferred
- Experience in consumer goods, manufacturing, or operations-driven businesses is advantageous
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Understanding of financial statements and cost drivers
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP
