The Labor Relations Manager is a strategic and operational leader responsible for all labor relations and blue-collar HR topics within TBB. This role serves as the primary interface with union leadership, oversees grievance administration and discipline processes, and ensures consistent application of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and company policies.The position leads a team of Labor Relations professionals and coordinators, ensuring effective execution of labor strategy, compliance, and workforce administration. This role partners closely with operations leadership to balance business performance with strong, consistent labor practices.

Position offers a starting salary range of $144,000 - $184,000 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
Labor Relations Strategy & Union Management
- Serve as the primary company representative for union relationships at assigned sites
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with union leadership while effectively managing conflict
- Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) to ensure consistent and compliant labor practices
- Advise plant leadership on labor strategy, risk mitigation, and employee relations matters
Grievance Administration & Dispute Resolution
- Oversee and manage grievance processes across all steps, ensuring timely and consistent resolution
- Act as escalation point for complex grievances beyond local handling
- Partner with legal and HR leadership on arbitration preparation and case strategy
- Ensure documentation, tracking, and analytics of grievance trends to drive proactive solutions
Note: Grievance handling and escalation are core responsibilities of LR leadership roles based on internal DTNA role expectations.
Discipline & Employee Relations
- Provide direction and oversight on employee discipline processes, ensuring consistency, fairness, and contractual compliance
- Support investigations involving misconduct, attendance, and workplace issues
- Ensure disciplined processes align with both company policy and CBA requirements
Team Leadership & Functional Oversight
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Labor Relations Specialists
- Oversee Disability Management and Time & Attendance functions, ensuring accurate and compliant administration
- Establish clear operating rhythms, roles, and expectations across the team
- Drive capability building within the LR function
Time & Attendance / Workforce Administration
- Ensure effective governance of timekeeping, attendance, and related policies
- Partner with operations to address attendance-related issues and trends
- Integrate attendance management with discipline and grievance processes
Compliance, Policy & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, CBAs, and company HR policies
- Maintain consistent application of policies across locations
- Partner with HR and Legal to mitigate risk and ensure defensible outcomes
Managers are expected to administer company policies fairly and consistently, per DTNA HR policy expectations.
Partnership with Business Leadership
- Act as trusted advisor to plant and operational leaders on workforce issues
- Influence leadership decision-making to balance operational needs and labor relations considerations
- Support culture alignment and workforce engagement in a unionized environment
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or related field
- 8+ years of HR experience with 4+ years of a combination of labor relations/employee relations experience in a unionized manufacturing/industrial environment
- Experience leading grievance processes, investigations, and disciplinary actions
- Demonstrated experience working directly with unions and interpreting CBAs
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
- Experience with arbitration preparation and/or participation
- Experience with multi-site labor relations environments
- Knowledge of disability management and timekeeping systems
