About the role
As a Sr. Marketing Manager, duties include ideating and executing project marketing plans and managing social media marketing & promotion to drive music performance across all streaming platforms and an overall digital creative vision for label’s artists & the label’s branding. Be part of the core team responsible for the overall development of music releases, artist management, artist branding, content creation, business development, label branding etc.
What you'll do:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to complete the project – A&R, Marketing, Artist Management & Development, Creative Services, Finance & Operation etc.
- Account servicing, market planning and executions as well as campaign/event management. Create marketing strategies that align with business opportunities and artist development.
- Define partnership strategies and execute go-to-market plans independently.
- Work collaboratively with the Artist Management & Development + A&R team to drive growth for our artists/partners/owned label.
- Regularly track and benchmark deals performance and creatively help artists/partners evolve through the changes in the music industry landscape.
- Coordinate internal communication, analysis and financial modelling to ensure effective information flow, informed decision-making, and sharing of best practices.
- Make strategic recommendations regarding business opportunities that will deliver new or enhanced revenue for the label and advise management thoroughly and concisely.
- Work collaboratively with a team of negotiators and dedicated business analysts as well as colleagues across multiple functional areas of the business. Build relationships and enhance the overall organization’s culture, diversity, and performance.
- Work with the label team to monitor, track, and ensure company business and financial objectives are met, including but not limited to digital business and local licensing deals, artists related projects, new business, brand/sync deals and identify, develop any other commercial opportunities in the market.
Who you are:
- Undergraduate degree required.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in music marketing, digital media, artist marketing, label/entertainment or technology companies; international experience is a plus.
- Very good negotiator with strong business acumen, strategic thinking, great attention to detail with a keen eye for data.
- Excellent problem-solving, combined with outstanding analytical skills, creativity and efficiency.
- Great verbal and written communications skills combined with interpersonal skills working across multiple cultures.
- Well versed of social media platform in both China and overseas landscape.
- Passion for music, digital media and innovation is a (big) plus.
- Experience in understanding and interpreting industry situations and translating this into actionable marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding and ability to grow/learn.
- Confident public speaker with strong experience in pitching and presenting.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
- Team player/cooperation is essential.
