About the Team
Lowe's Data Analytics and Computational Intelligence (DACI) organization is seeking a best-in-class Senior Software Engineer with a strong interest in building Data Services, API's and Data Pipelines for Machine Learning applications from scratch for Supply Chain Analytic applications, & preferably with experience leading full stack Java/React/GCP development teams. DACI’s Supply Chain team will drive cost savings and service improvement throughout Lowe’s supply chain by using techniques ranging from forecasting to simulation to optimization, deployed against problems from receipt of product from the vendor through final mile fulfillment of the product to the customer and everywhere in between. The team is comprised of analytic professionals across business analytics, data scientists, product managers, data engineers and software engineers, all combining their expertise to stay on the leading edge.

As a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack), you will serve as a technical senior software engineer responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable, high-performing software solutions across frontend and backend systems. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to build enterprise-grade applications that are reliable, maintainable, and secure.
You will drive technical excellence by influencing architecture decisions, establishing engineering best practices, mentoring team members, and ensuring the successful delivery of business-critical solutions. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in modern web technologies, microservices architecture, cloud-native development, and agile software delivery practices.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using React.js, Java, and Spring Boot.
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, UX designers, and engineering teams to deliver business solutions.
- Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces with a focus on usability and performance.
- Design and implement database solutions using PostgreSQL and MongoDB., Apache Druid
- Integrate applications with messaging and event-streaming platforms such as Kafka.
- Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Contribute to technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery efficiency.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Years of Experience:
5+ years of professional software development experience in Full Stack Engineering.
5+ years of experience working across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
4+ years of experience with database technologies.
Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale applications and APIs.
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineering teams.
