With more than 4,500 ASMers representing 70 nationalities, our people and our advanced semiconductor devices are playing a crucial role in trends such as 5G, cloud computing, AI, and autonomous driving.  But we’re more than just a tech company. We value diversity, inclusion and sustainability as we strive to make a positive impact on the world. Our development programs help support your growth, shaping your future and pushing the boundaries of innovation to unleash potential.

As Director, Global Product Management at ASM, you will define and lead the product and portfolio strategy for PECVD. This role is accountable for driving long-term technology direction, product roadmaps, and business performance across a critical growth area for ASM.

You will operate as a key member of the global product leadership team - aligning R&D, operations, and commercial functions - while building and leading a high-performing product management organization. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on ASM’s PECVD market position, customer engagement strategy, and growth trajectory.

What You Will Be Working On

Portfolio & Product Strategy

  • Own the global PECVD product portfolio strategy, aligning with ASM’s broader deposition roadmap and market inflections
  • Define multi-year technology and product strategies to capture growth across logic, foundry, memory, and advanced packaging

Leadership & Organization

  • Build, lead, and develop a global team of product managers across the PECVD portfolio
  • Drive organizational scalability, talent development, and a strong execution culture

Product Lifecycle & Business Ownership

  • Hold accountability for full product lifecycle performance (concept → HVM → obsolescence), including revenue, margin, and market share
  • Ensure strong execution of new product introductions (NPI) and platform evolution across PECVD systems

Customer & Market Leadership

  • Establish senior-level relationships with key global customers, driving strategic technical and commercial engagement
  • Lead customer-driven roadmap alignment, incorporating device inflections and integration challenges

Roadmap & Innovation

  • Define and maintain PECVD product roadmaps informed by customer collaboration, competitive positioning, and technology trends
  • Partner with R&D to translate emerging requirements into differentiated product capabilities

Business Planning & Financial Ownership

  • Own business case development (NPV, IRR) and portfolio-level financial performance
  • Lead forecasting, long-range planning, and contribution to operating plans

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as executive sponsor across Product Development, Operations, Service, and Commercial teams to drive alignment and execution
  • Partner with suppliers and external ecosystem to enable next-generation capabilities and cost competitiveness

Go-to-Market & Strategic Marketing

  • Define positioning and value propositions for PECVD solutions across applications and customer segments
  • Oversee Market Requirement Specifications (MRS), competitive analysis, and executive-level messaging

What We Are Looking For

  • ~15+ years in semiconductor capital equipment, with deep experience in PECVD or adjacent thin film deposition technologies
  • Proven leadership experience managing product portfolios and leading teams in a global, matrixed organization
  • Track record delivering complex platforms from concept through commercialization
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device trends and customer roadmap alignment
  • Experience influencing senior customer stakeholders and driving strategic decisions
  • Strong business acumen (portfolio management, financial modeling, product strategy)
  • Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Materials Science, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering

What Sets You Apart

  • Deep expertise in PECVD and adjacent technologies (ALD, epitaxy, plasma processing)
  • Experience shaping product strategy tied to major technology inflections
