We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Heavy Haulage Claims Officer to join our team. In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of specialised motor claims involving heavy vehicles including Farm Machinery —delivering exceptional outcomes for our customers and stakeholders.

The Opportunity

As a Heavy Haulage Claims Officer, you’ll be responsible for managing end-to-end claims across complex heavy motor risks. You’ll work closely with customers, brokers, repairers, and external partners to ensure claims are resolved efficiently, fairly, and in line with policy.

This is a dynamic role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident navigating complex claims scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of heavy haulage and commercial motor claims from lodgement through to settlement

  • Assess claims in line with policy coverage, liability, and compliance requirements

  • Liaise with customers, brokers, assessors, repairers, and external suppliers

  • Coordinate inspections and quotes for heavy vehicles, trailers, and specialised equipment

  • Negotiate settlements and drive cost-effective outcomes

  • Identify potential risks, fraud indicators, or recovery opportunities

  • Maintain accurate records and provide clear, timely communication to stakeholders

About You

  • Experience in motor claims, ideally with exposure to heavy haulage, commercial motor, or fleet.

  • Strong understanding of claims processes, liability, and policy interpretation

  • Confident communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders

  • Solutions-focused, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to prioritise and manage a varied caseload effectively

  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes
