ERDC Science Academy Coordinator
The Academy Coordinator plays a key role in showcasing FMC’s Research & Development capabilities and innovation portfolio to stakeholders, customers, farmers, and FMC employees. The position ensures that visitors gain a clear understanding of FMC’s innovations by coordinating technical visits, facilitating knowledge transfer, and strengthening relationships with end customers. Working in close alignment with Regional R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams, the Academy Coordinator manages visit programs from planning through execution, ensuring that agendas, demonstrations, and technical messaging effectively communicate FMC’s value and expertise. The role also contributes to continuous improvement of the Academy by collecting feedback, analysing outcomes, and supporting Product Safety & Regulatory (PS&R) testing and preliminary data analysis in collaboration with relevant teams.
What You'll Do With Us:
- Establish and apply the Academy’s governance framework in alignment with Regional R&D, Marketing, and Sales departments.
- Coordinate and manage visit requests, preparing structured agendas for visitors and internal presenters.
- Organize and align researchers and technical teams to prepare visit agendas tailored to the objectives and audience, including presentations, laboratory tours, and field demonstrations.
- Lead and host visits on the day of the event, delivering key technical messages and acting as the main reference for FMC innovations.
- Coordinate logistics for visits, including meeting rooms, field demonstrations, meals, materials, and visitor experience elements.
- Collect and analyse visitor satisfaction feedback and share insights internally to improve future Academy activities.
- Ensure technical questions raised during visits are addressed or directed to the appropriate internal experts and follow up to ensure responses are provided.
- Lead annual discussions on visit outcomes and objectives to refine Academy processes, governance, and investment decisions.
- Support PS&R teams in the execution of trials and preliminary data analysis.
Your qualification
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree (BAC+3 or BAC+5) in agronomy, biology, crop protection, or a related field.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary, and fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated autonomy and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities and seasonal workloads.
- Knowledge of local agricultural cropping systems, pests, management practices, and crop protection products.
- Business understanding across the portfolio and at the EMEA level is considered a strong advantage.
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
