About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst – BI & Analytics with strong expertise in Power BI and Excel, combined with deep experience in healthcare/patient claims data.
This is a BI-first role, focused on building scalable dashboards, generating insights, and enabling data-driven decisions. While exposure to data engineering is beneficial, the primary expectation is strong BI development, analytics capability associated with healthcare patient/claims data.
Role Summary
This role combines business intelligence development and advanced analytics. The candidate will work on structured claims and real-world datasets to generate insights for stakeholders and clients.
The role requires strong ownership across the BI lifecycle: data understanding → modeling → visualization → insight generation → stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Build scalable, optimized, and user-friendly dashboards
- Develop data models, DAX calculations, measures, and KPIs
- Create advanced Excel-based dashboards and reporting solutions
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) on healthcare datasets
- Analyze patient journeys, LoT, treatment patterns, and support pre-sales requests across agencies.
- Work with structured datasets such as IQVIA, Symphony, DRG, McKesson claims
- Write and optimize SQL queries for large datasets
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and validation
- Integrate multiple data sources into BI models
- Translate business requirements into dashboards and insights
- Present insights through dashboards, presentations, and storytelling
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (analytics, HEOR, consulting)
- Ownership mindset which allows for independence and stakeholder communication
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years' experience, including 3+ years in BI development and healthcare/life‑sciences analytics roles.
- Strong expertise in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboard development, optimization)
- Advanced Excel skills (large datasets, dashboards, pivoting, automation)
- Strong SQL skills (query writing, optimization)
- Experience with structured healthcare/life sciences datasets (claims, RWE, patient-level data)
- Proven experience in claims, patient & commercial analytics.
- Strong understanding of data visualization and storytelling best practices
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Experience working in stakeholder-driven or client-facing environments
- Ability to work independently and own end-to-end deliverables
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of Python (data manipulation, automation)
- Experience with additional BI tools (Tableau)
- Basic understanding of data engineering concepts (ETL, pipelines)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake)
- Experience in claims, patient & commercial analytics.
- Exposure to therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Immunology, Rare Diseases
- Experience working in consulting or analytics service environments in health care domain
