What you’ll be doing...
As a key member of our Federal (FED) Public Sector team, you will be the primary engine driving growth and stability within our government account base. You aren’t just managing accounts; you are a strategic partner to our Federal clients, navigating complex procurement landscapes to ensure our solutions meet their mission-critical needs. You will balance proactive prospecting with high-touch sales support to turn prospects into partners and current customers into lifelong advocates.
Strategic Business Development
Grow the Portfolio: Proactively prospect within your assigned territory to identify new opportunities and expand our footprint through targeted upsell and cross-sell initiatives.
Sales Orchestration: Partner closely with Sales Leadership to develop account strategies, assist in closing complex opportunities, and provide the technical/administrative support needed to win.
Market Insight: Identify high-impact opportunities for Senior Client Partners to engage in person, acting as the "eyes and ears" of your account base.
Operational Excellence & Lifecycle Management
Full-Cycle Oversight: Own the administrative lifecycle of the sale, including contract quoting, billing accuracy, implementation, and migration support.
Process Education: Collaborate with Sales Operations to master internal workflows and educate customers on our federal procurement processes.
Advocacy & Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer concerns, providing swift problem resolution and recommending tailored solutions that drive success.
Platform Adoption & Engagement
Drive Value Realization: Empower FED customers to get the most out of our tools by leading training sessions on self-service portals, billing systems, and new feature adoption.
Prioritize Impact: Manage and triage service requests by assessing their impact on the customer’s overarching mission and business outcomes.
Relationship Management: Maintain high-frequency engagement with your accounts, ensuring we are consistently meeting their evolving needs.
Prospect within your assigned account base while partnering with the sales and support teams to close opportunities, assist with inquiries and provide a great customer experience.

What we’re looking for...
You have the drive and enthusiasm to win new business. You don’t mind cold-calling potential customers because meeting new people and discovering their needs is what you enjoy. Closing a sale takes initiative and you know just how to support the sales reps to follow up and follow through so nothing gets missed. The idea of solving customer problems with first class technical solutions energizes you. A fast-paced environment when you are multitasking to get everything done is where you do your best work.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
A valid driver’s license.
Eligibility to pass Motor Vehicle Record check.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A degree.
Proven ability to identify customer opportunities, communicate well with customers, take care of our customers, and support our FED sales representatives.
Have been a part of working with customers to solve their problems and create sales – you can easily help multiple customers at the same time.
Experience prospecting, selling, sales support, and problem resolution for business accounts.
Experience in hunting for new business and partnering with the sales team to close the sale.
Have experience finding ways to grow the business with existing customers.
Familiarity with crafting programs with products that will wow our customers.
Experience in supporting the resolution of customer problems and recommending solutions.
Managed sales tracking and managed making appointments for a sales team.
Where you'll be working
In this mobile role, you'll primarily work from customer or field location(s), with occasional visits to a Verizon location for in-person training and meetings.
