Shift: Rotating shifts (evening/night/weekend as required)

Full Time, permanent position. Overtime available.

What you’ll do

  • Fabrication & Installation: Perform fabrication and installation of large heavy equipment at customer sites and in the Lively fabrication shop, ensuring adherence to work orders, diagrams, and company standards.

  • Welding Execution: Manually weld in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead) maintaining proper arc length and speed to achieve specified weld profiles and quality.

  • Repair & Preparation: Repair broken or cracked parts, prepare surfaces using air carbon arc or oxy-fuel gouging, and cut workpieces as needed.

  • Daily Operations: Follow rotating shift schedules (8-12 hours), including evenings, nights, and weekends as required by job orders, with travel within a 1-2 hour radius of Sudbury.

  • Success Metrics: Deliver high-quality welds and installations on time, maintain safety standards, and support operational efficiency with minimal shop support.

  • Travel Requirements: Regular travel to customer sites within a 1-2 hour radius of Sudbury; occasional shop work depending on workload.

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring
Must-haves:

  • CWB Welding Certification

  • 6-12 months related welding experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication instructions, diagrams, and welding procedure specifications

  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with oxy-fuel cutting and grinding

  • Knowledge of Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) regulations

  • Forklift and Overhead Crane Safety certification

  • Familiarity with WHMIS and other safety standards

Compensation: Competitive hourly rates starting at $35.00/hour, flexibility based on years of related training/ experience.
