About the Hiring Team

Lightspeed Tech Center is a R&D department under Lightspeed Studios which develop PUBG Mobile and other high-quality games. Our Tech Center leads the research, exploration, and discovery of innovative technologies and provides technical services for all games during all phases of life cycle, including engine, audio, QA, AI, next generation game, technical cooperation, etc.

What the Role Entails

• Design & Implementation: Assist the Project Lead with rule design and detailing for core game systems, gameplay mechanics, and level design.
• Documentation & Content Production: Help write clear, standardized Game Design Documents (GDD). Handle daily configuration and data maintenance to ensure developer and art teams accurately understand design intentions. Generate specific in-game content based on assigned requirements and scope.
• Tracking, Testing & Tuning: Assist in tracking development progress. Participate in daily playtesting and balance testing. Collect and organize test feedback to help drive bug fixes and gameplay optimization.
• Competitor Analysis & Research: Keep up with gaming industry trends. Play and deeply analyze competitor games, producing constructive teardowns and analysis reports.
• Pipeline & Tooling Research: Identify potential productivity improvements and tools within the R&D pipeline. Assist in designing these tools and actively participate in the workflow optimization process.

Who We Look For

• Passion & Reasoning: A genuine gamer with extensive experience across Console, PC, and Mobile platforms, with independent thoughts on what makes a game's core loop fun.
• Thinking & Communication: Strong logical thinking with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to explain complex design concepts clearly and work well within a team.
• Tools & Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT) and mind-mapping/flowchart tools (e.g., XMind, Visio). Familiar with standard project management software (e.g., Git, Confluence).
• Drive & Work Ethic: Highly self-motivated, eager to learn, and responsible. Able to adapt to the fast pace of project development and get things done reliably.
• Development Basics: Basic understanding of, or hands-on experience with, mainstream game engines like Unity 3D or Unreal Engine.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AI Tool Experience: Experience with or insights into common in-game AI systems. Practical experience or extensive exploration of current Large Language Models (LLM) and AIGC tools is highly preferred.
• Practical Experience: Hands-on experience developing personal indie game demos, creating game mods, or developing User-Generated Content (UGC) is a plus.
• Education Background: Major in computer science/game design or a related field is a plus.
