Job Description

The Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor (VATP) in Art is expected to teach one course in the history of Ancient Egyptian or Nubian Art during the Fall 2026 semester.  In addition to class meeting times, the applicant will hold regular office hours in person and promptly respond to student inquiries throughout the semester.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Art History or Architectural History, with a focus in Ancient Egyptian and Nubian Art. Experience teaching undergraduates.  

Position Information:

  • Teaching Load: 1 course (0.2 FTE)

  • Term of Appointment: Fall 2026, non-renewable

  • Target Start Date: August 31, 2026

  • Minimum Salary: $10,000
