About the role
The NISC IV program at Leidos has an opening for a Human Resource Assistant with prior federal agency experience specifically payroll. The selected resource will provide support to the FAA’s AHR organization specifically the Pay and Leave branch. The selected resource will perform basic, routine tasks and will utilize automated tools and software in the performance of duties/responsibilities. Work will be performed under close direction of a manager, team leader, or more experienced staff.
Specific duties for the position include:
- Process a broad range of personnel actions to include accessions; separations; position and pay changes; service/pay computation dates; and retirement, health insurance, life insurance, and other benefit forms
- Serve as liaison between FAA and the DOI Payroll Operations Division, utilizing a personnel and payroll actions data system to input and process a variety of actions including changes to employee benefits, work schedules, union dues initiation/revocation, Voluntary Leave Transfer Program (VLTP) balances, Thrift Savings Plan deductions, and other voluntary payroll deductions, VLB, Settlements, agreements that pertain to leave and T&A.
- Working the BUS reports on pay calculate (Wednesday) and the post calculate (Thursday). This task entails the review of the BUS reports for an employee’s enrollment into or out of the bargaining unit in a timely manner.
- Supports the Wednesday process to ensure notification of timekeepers to advise on coding issues and remedial actions to resolve pay errors or problems identified by DOI or employees prior to final pay calculations.
- Handles and resolves issues relative to a wide range of pay and non-pay actions covering several pay systems to include General Schedule, Federal Wage System, Core Compensation and Air Traffic Pay Plan.
- Advises HRSDs, LR, and regional counsels during development and implementation of third-party settlements and agreements ensuring actions are processes IAW agreements and assists with affecting back pays
- Monitoring and working the PLS folders -for each of the regions serviced by OKC on the shared drive.
- Monitoring and reviewing the Change of Station emails sent to the shared email address.
- Complete tax emails that are sent to the PLS general email address
- Review and complete BUS emails on the 9-AHR-PLS-Dues-Withholding email address.
- Work independently as well as with other team members to accurately complete all assignments in accordance with established deadlines
- Frequently refers problems and work issues to the manager and/or team leads when guidance is not available or applicable
- Foster a collaborative environment by effectively communicating and interacting with fellow team members and stakeholders
- Maintain an overall working knowledge and the ability to perform each function within his/her area
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1 year of relevant administrative experience
- Knowledge of clerical procedures used to perform the work.
- Federal agency experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree is highly desirable

Pay Range:
Pay Range $35,750.00 - $64,625.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
