Job Description Summary:

Basic Function:

Perform systematic investigations to determine the ability of plant processes and equipment to meet and exceed established requirements. This includes process optimization, process capability studies, equipment\system validations and process validations, process automation, process controls as applicable. Recommend and implement lean solutions to manufacturing operations. Lead, collaborate, and support in the manufacturing of products in accordance with established regulatory requirements. Justification and /or execution of capital projects gear to continuous improvement.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead problem solving efforts in area/system under his/her responsibility. Handles technical problems.
  • Investigates technical problems by using problem solving techniques (RCA, FMEA, Fishbone) and recommend solutions. This includes customer complaints and internal process deviations.
  • Lead investigations of GMP, Quality, Safety and Environmental issues and address implementations of corrective actions to avoid reoccurrence.
  • Writes and/or update working instructions, standard works or work aids for new and/or changed processes.  Verify validity of existing manufacturing and/or facilities working instructions.
  • Participate and promote activities with the Operational Excellence Team that contribute toward continuous improvement using established lean tools (VSM, SMED, etc).
  • Monitors plant process performance, evaluate performance metrics, and initiates process improvements activities.
  • Writes capability study protocols and performs capability studies to existing processes as applicable.
  • Develop and implement statistical process control to existing plant processes, when needed.
  • Assure compliance with Preventive Maintenance Program, Calibration system program and OEE.
  • Execute analysis and actions to support the implementation and sustainability of EXIM into the Engineering & Maintenance Department.
  • Assume project manager responsibility for equipment and/or process project from definition, justification, design and implementation through startup of plant operations.
  • Evaluate ideas and suggest the best engineering alternative solution for areas, equipment, or process improvement.
  • Justify, conduct cost analysis and implement capital projects to be considered in the Productivity Initiative , Business Plan ,  Master Planning Road map  and/or Sustainability Plan.
  • Execute capital projects implementation by using Project Management techniques.
  • Assists the Production Managers in establishing corrective actions for QNs.
  • Verifies and monitors the process controls and provides recommendations for improvement. Prepare compliance report. Assures the documentation process of the area meets the requirements.  Recommends and implements corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workplace in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices. Verify the associate and visitor compliance with safety equipment usage.
  • Lead/Support Validation of process and equipment as established by KORE
  • Provide support to the commercialization meeting as required.

Requirements:

Education:     Bachelor’s degree in engineering

Experience: Three to five years of experience in Beverage Manufacturing or similar type industry. Must be Proficiency in MS Office (WORDS, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, MS Project) and familiar with SAP, CMMS, Statistical Process Control, Problem Solving Methodologies, Lean Six Sigma Equipment Specifications, Equipment\System Qualifications (Validations) and Testing methods.
