About the role
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, shape, and assemble plastic materials and components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, machining instructions, and other detailed written or verbal instructions to execute work accurately.
- Inspect completed parts for accuracy, quality, and conformance to design specifications.
- Perform finishing operations such as sanding, trimming, drilling, or bonding as required.
- Operate shop equipment safely, including saws, routers, heat benders, and other fabrication tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Document production activities, material usage, and completed work as required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and quality procedures.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Prior experience in plastic fabrication, machining, manufacturing, or related fields.
- Familiarity with plastic materials and their properties (e.g., acrylic, polycarbonate, PVC).
- Experience operating fabrication machinery or specialty tools.
Compensation Information:
$18.00 - $18.50/hr
