As a Technical Specialist III, you will ensure system integrity while maintaining compliance, the safety of facility equipment and overall pipeline operations. Project planning, teamwork and evaluation skills are keys to success in this role and safety is of utmost importance!

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Performs moderately sophisticated technical assignments that ensure system integrity, compliance, facility equipment maintenance, and pipeline operations support
  • Participates in project planning and collaborates with company partners to guarantee accurate and available data
  • Reads, understands and evaluates engineering design documents, contracts and agreements
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures
  • Resolves technical issues promptly and efficiently
  • Assists in preparing budgets and estimating resources needed for maintenance initiatives, while optimizing resources to control cost through effective use of maintenance resources
  • Leads maintenance initiatives by coordinating maintenance planning and outages, ensuring optimized outage turnaround, and monitoring compliance with federal, state and company regulations and policies
  • Collaborates with support groups to identify, develop, and implement best practices
  • Reviews policies and procedures to identify potential safety hazards; provides guidance on safety practices and new maintenance procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Manages inventory by identifying and tracking spare parts and tools needed for maintenance
  • Documents maintenance activities accurately, detailing repairs made, parts used, and time spent
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: High school diploma/GED and equivalent experience or Associates degree in engineering or a technical field and a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in oil & gas industry
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field and minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience in field operations or other technical specialty

Physical and Environment Work Requirements:

Must be willing to:

  • Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
  • Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
  • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Use hand tools

Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:

  • Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises
  • May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays

Other Requirements:

  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Exhibits excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
  • Experience in facilitating training, developing materials, and conducting root cause failure analysis
  • Experience in maintenance and reliability programs
  • Expertise in areas such as Dehydration, DOT Regulation, Pump maintenance, Mechanical Integrity, pressure relief devices, and rotating equipment
  • Preferred: Experience with platforms such as Maximo, Oracle Analytics, and PowerBI
  • Preferred: Maximo Power User
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills

$78,100 - $127,300 - $175,500
