In addition to comprehensive internal engine repair/overhaul, we also operate a world-class evaluation and testing facility that’s FEDEC capable.
Role Overview:
As an Industrial Process Engineer at GE Aerospace, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards for our engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations. You will play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing innovative solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Job Responsibilities:
Analyze existing manufacturing processes within engine MRO operations to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, quality, and safety
Design, develop, and implement new or modified manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment to optimize production flow and throughput
Conduct time studies, process mapping, and value stream mapping to identify bottlenecks and eliminate waste
Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow diagrams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, engineering, and maintenance, to ensure successful process implementation and integration
Lead and participate in root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions
Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools to monitor process performance and drive data-driven decisions
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, materials, and equipment to enhance manufacturing capabilities and competitiveness
Provide training and support to production personnel on new processes and equipment
Ensure all process improvements adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
Ability to support off-shifts and weekends as needed
Desired Characteristics:
Experience in lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
Experience with process simulation software and CAD tools is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
