The performance marketing team is the engine behind business growth as it handles the majority of marketing activities. Role Summary/Purpose: Reporting to the VP Growth Surveillance Manager, the primary responsibility of this role is to conduct surveillance and monitoring activities that validate compliance against governance controls (CTC’s, Policy, Procedures, Controls, etc.) and effectiveness across Growth. This will be achieved through the application of prescribed testing methodology and documentation standards, using a holistic approach to ensure Growth processes encompass effective risk mitigation tactics.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute recurring surveillance testing for the defined testing scope within a surveillance review. Testing may include access to systems/tools currently available to Growth surveillance in the US.
Document detailed test instructions and results to surveillance documentation standards and meet required deadlines.
Analyze test results to identify defect categorization and root cause. Make recommendations on final test outcome to Growth surveillance management.
Effectively communicate test results to process owners, and actively manage the closed-loop for all defects identified during testing.
Maintain an appropriate depth of knowledge of Growth processes that is necessary to effectively conduct surveillance testing. Actively seek training and learning opportunities to increase knowledge and stay abreast of process and regulation changes.
Establish effective relationships with all Growth teams that own processes and activities tied to the annual surveillance plan.
Create and maintain repository of evidence documentation and workpapers to support testing activities that align with documentation standards.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 2+ years in reporting, governance, risk management, audit, compliance, or Growth experience; OR in-lieu of degree, 4+ years in reporting, governance, risk management, audit, compliance, or Growth experience.

Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
Financial Services / Credit Card and/or Banking industry experience
3+ years in Financial Services industry, including an operating knowledge of regulatory requirements
2+ years experience in assessing risks and controls or testing/surveillance and/ audit experience
Experience applying analytical skills and attention to detail
Understanding of Growth business systems & processes
Strong experience with process maps, CTCs, CTQs, Process Universe, risk and control analysis and documentation, and other key governance elements.
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Experience working in the FD/Fiserv/Workfront
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite application.
Eligibility Criteria: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 2+ years in reporting, governance, risk management, audit, compliance, or Growth experience; OR in-lieu of degree, 4+ years in reporting, governance, risk management, audit, compliance, or Growth experience.
Work Timings: 2:30 AM EST to 11:30 AM EST
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs)
