Job Description Summary

The Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst reports to the Manager, HRIS. This position provides HRIS, administrative, and confidential support within the Human Resources division. This role supports HR systems and data processes, along with a wide range of HR administrative functions. The position has access to confidential information related to collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, benefits, and other sensitive human resources matters, and is required to maintain a high level of discretion.

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide daily operational support to HRIS end-users, including troubleshooting system issues.
  • Maintain and update HRIS data, ensuring system functionality and data integrity.
  • Manage day-to-day administration and maintenance of the HRIS system, including system testing.
  • Analyze and reconcile data across systems (e.g.: HRIS vs Payroll) to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Develop, generate, and maintain standard and ad hoc HRIS reports and dashboards.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reporting.
  • Maintain employee records, including certifications, telework agreements, employment verifications, and related documentation.
  • Provide support in communicating employee lifecycle changes such as new hires, promotions, demotions, leaves, and terminations.
  • Support onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Support performance management processes and related system activities.
  • Collaborate with HR team members on recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, and employee relations initiatives.
  • Provide general administrative support such as filing, scheduling meetings, answering phones, mail distribution, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Weighted Consideration Will Be Given To Applicants With

  • 2 years of HRIS experience, Workday preferred.
  • Data analytics experience.
  • Civil Service Rules and Guidelines experience a plus.
  • ATS experience a plus.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous with strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology, Industrial or Labor Relations, Human Resources, or a related field.

Civil Service Classification: Non-Competitive

Salary Range: $50,070.00 - $85,255.00

Education

High school diploma or its educational equivalent

Certifications (if required)

Work Experience

Four years of full time experience in clerical administrative areas assisting in human resources, or comparable administrative duties; computer literacy or satisfactory combination of education and experience.
