Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of project-specific safety plans and company safety programs
  • Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and observations under the direction of senior safety staff
  • Support daily safety activities including Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), toolbox talks, and orientation training
  • Help track and maintain safety documentation, training records, and inspection reports
  • Assist with incident, near-miss, and accident investigations, including documentation and follow-up actions
  • Promote safe work practices by engaging with field crews, supervisors, and subcontractors
  • Help ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, project requirements, and company safety standards
  • Participate in safety meetings and collaborate with project leadership to support a strong safety culture
  • Serve as a safety resource on the jobsite with guidance from the Project Safety Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, or related field (preferred but not required)
  • 0–2 years of experience in construction safety, internships, or related field experience
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and willingness to continue learning regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with field personnel
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, heavy equipment, and elevated noise levels

Office Environment

  • Administrative tasks including documentation and reporting
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and lift 5–20 pounds occasionally
