Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing the Plant Support Engineering (PSE) department. Ensures troubleshooting support, temp mod development, causal investigation of issues, engineering in-field activities, and outage preparation & execution are performed timely and while upholding technical conscious. Develops and maintains technical system and component knowledge within the department.Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Direction and oversight of the Plant Support Engineering Department
- Development of PSE Supervisors
- Chair and facilitate various meetings
- Serve as a Project Sponsor as required
- Facilitate staffing activities
- Manage and allocate departmental budget to resolve site issues, execute engineering outage activities, and perform analysis
- Develop and facilitate the Equipment Reliability strategy
- Interface with State and Federal regulators to demonstrate continued safe operation
- Determine departmental priorities in accordance with current site needs and corporate leadership vision
- Interface with external review committees
Education, Experience & Skill Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or related field
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Technical understanding of nuclear plant regulations, processes, programs, and procedures
- Experience with financial controls, planning and scheduling
- Engineering experience with Design, Systems or Component specialties.
- Plant Certification or SRO Certification/License preferred
