Job Description
Life at UiPath
The people at UiPath believe in the transformative power of automation to change how the world works. We’re committed to creating category-leading enterprise software that unleashes that power.
To make that happen, we need people who are curious, self-propelled, generous, and genuine. People who love being part of a fast-moving, fast-thinking growth company. And people who care—about each other, about UiPath, and about our larger purpose.
Could that be you?
Your mission
India has one of the largest and fastest-growing professional developer communities in the world. Developers here are building production-grade AI systems, contributing to OSS, and forming opinions on tooling that will shape enterprise adoption for years. They are not passive consumers of developer content — they are active, technically demanding, and increasingly influential beyond the region.
The Developer Relations Advocate (India) will establish and grow UiPath's credibility within professional developer ecosystems across India — and do it at scale.
This is an externally-facing DevRel role:
Build trust in high-signal developer communities across India's major tech hubs.
Create code-first assets that materially improve the developer journey.
Serve as UiPath's growth and experimentation lab — discovering what activates developers at India scale and sharing those learnings back into UiPath.
Your mission is to earn and grow professional developer mindshare for the UiPath platform through authentic engagement, technical credibility, and a help-first approach — scaled across one of the world's largest developer ecosystems.
What you'll do at UiPath
Developer Community Engagement
Deliver 6+ earned talks or workshops annually at high-signal community events and meetups in India.
Build and maintain relationships across Python, JavaScript, AI, and integration-focused communities.
Participate authentically in developer ecosystems (GitHub, Discord, Telegram communities, LinkedIn, Reddit, local meetup circuits).
Partner closely with the UiPath Community India team to engage MVPs and the professional developers in our broader UiPath community.
Travel approximately 25–35% within India, with occasional participation in global DevRel team events.
Code-First Developer Enablement
Publish 2+ code-first developer assets each month that improve the developer journey, such as runnable repos, quick starts, opinionated examples, templates, and technical walkthroughs.
Create concise technical demos that make complex capabilities approachable.
Collaborate with a dedicated production team (technical writers and video editing) to scale content into high-quality developer assets.
Partner with UiPath Product and Community teams to improve developer documentation and platform education materials.
Partner internally to help make UiPath's annual DevCon event a success.
Run rapid content experiments with the UiPath Community team to identify the formats and channels that drive activation at scale and share your learnings with the global team.
Technical Thought Leadership
Demonstrate practical patterns for building, orchestrating, and governing AI-powered automations and agents.
Translate platform capabilities into credible, production-oriented examples.
Articulate where enterprise requirements (security, auditability, reliability) meaningfully change architecture decisions.
Internal Advocacy & Influence
Champion the India developer perspective internally.
Surface ecosystem trends, competitive signals, developer friction points, and what content formats are gaining traction in India's developer communities.
Influence product direction through hands-on experimentation and field insight.
What you'll bring to the team
4 to 6+ years across Developer Relations, software development, developer advocacy, and/or leading a technical community.
Experience representing a developer platform, API, SDK, cloud, AI, or infrastructure product externally.
Strong hands-on proficiency in Python or JavaScript.
Hands-on experience building or contributing to production-grade software systems, integrations, or distributed architectures.
Demonstrated public technical presence in India's developer ecosystem: conference talks, workshops, blog posts, GitHub repos, OSS contributions, or community leadership.
Genuine fluency in how Indian developer communities operate - the conference circuit, the meetup culture, the online communities, and the startup ecosystem.
Strong instincts for what content and channels resonate at scale, and the curiosity to test and iterate.
Deep developer empathy and a consistent "help first" mindset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems clearly and credibly.
You are not just a speaker. You are a builder, educator, and community connector who understands India's developer ecosystem and who can activate it authentically at scale.
