Role Overview

As an ERP / SAP S/4 Hana Functional Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless ERP operations across globally deployed S/4HANA platforms and integrated applications. You will be part of our expanding Global Capability Centre in Bangalore, supporting the rollout and stabilization of our next-generation ERP ecosystem.

This role requires strong functional expertise, cross-module knowledge, and experience in SAP Run/Support environments (L2/L3), along with the ability to collaborate across global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end functional support for SAP S/4HANA across core business processes: OTC, ICO, STP, RTR, MDM, MAKE, MTO, PLAN, and LOG
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents impacting ERP operations (L2/L3 support), while guiding the team toward effective and sustainable solutions
• Proactively monitor system performance, identify anomalies, and address functional or technical issues to ensure business continuity
• Manage and prioritize incidents and service requests based on business impact and urgency, while maintaining strong governance in collaboration with partners and internal IT SMEs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Basis, Security, Development, and other IT teams) to ensure timely and efficient issue resolution
• Contribute to new implementation programs by ensuring robust process design, standardization, and successful deployment of solutions
• Coordinate with development teams on enhancements, customizations, and defect resolution to align with business requirements
• Participate in testing cycles, validation activities, and transport management to ensure quality and stability of system changes
• Ensure strict adherence to change management processes, governance standards, and compliance requirements
• Maintain comprehensive system and process documentation, and provide regular reporting on system health, performance metrics, and incident trends

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 10-12+ years of SAP ERP support experience
• Strong functional expertise in one or more SAP modules: SD, MM, FICO, PP, PM, QM
• Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA support environments (Run / AMS / CoE)
• Exposure to integration technologies and tools such as SAP BTP, APIs, or middleware
• Familiarity with SAP ecosystem solutions: Ariba, IBP, TM, EHS, GTS, OpenText, Vistex
• Understanding of Master Data Management and SAP eCommerce Cloud
• Experience working in cloud-based SAP environments (e.g., RISE with SAP)

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA certifications (module-specific or cross-functional)
• Experience with SAP partners, system integrators, or managed service providers
• Background in multinational organizations, preferably in Life Sciences / Healthcare
• Experience working within a SAP Center of Excellence (CoE)
• Strong understanding of ERP best practices in process design and configuration
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills
