Summary of Program
Jabil’s Engineering Internship Program has developed future innovators for over 30 years, offering undergraduate students hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry. As an intern, you’ll work within the Manufacturing Technology & Innovation (MTI) team, supporting advanced manufacturing and R&D initiatives. You’ll collaborate with engineers in a world-class lab to contribute to process development, innovation, and operational excellence.
Summary of Position
The Engineering Intern will support the team with daily tasks and departmental activities. They may also work on specific projects alongside their regular responsibilities.
Intern Duties & Responsibilities
Carryout to completion specific projects assigned by the Project or Department Manager.
Flexible work schedule given potential deadlines.
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Major(s): Manufacturing, Mechanical, Materials, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, Systems, or related field
Class Year(s): Freshmen, Sophomores, or Juniors enrolled in an ABET-Accredited Engineering Program
GPA: Min 3.0
Technical Skills:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information and respond to diverse audiences.
- Analytical problem-solving skills, including data collection and drawing conclusions.
- Proficient in PC use, including Windows and relevant software tools.
- Basic writing skills and ability to read and interpret instructions and visual materials.
- Ability to follow simple instructions and handle routine tasks with minimal variability.
- Basic math skills, including calculations, ratios, percentages, and graph interpretation.
- Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities such as agility, trust-building, and decision-making.
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning.
Availability: Must be available to work locally in San Jose, California from September 1st, 2026 – Aug 31st, 2027; 20 – 25 hours per week.
The hourly pay range for this role is $16.00 - $32.00.
