We are looking for a passionate, creative, and hard-working individual with a customer-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset to join our team as a Business Development Manager.
In this role, you will become a key contributor to Viridien’s drive to expand our seismic portfolio and business in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and execute strategies for new country entry, identifying key markets and opportunities aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Focus on identifying and developing innovative, effective technical solutions for projects that address specific geological or geophysical challenges and meet client requirements.
- Participate in government engagement efforts to foster partnerships, secure permits, and advocate for favourable regulatory frameworks.
- Build and manage high-level relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry stakeholders, and financial institutions.
- Drive business development initiatives, including contract negotiations, consortium partnerships, and funding opportunities.
- Monitor lease sales and client activity in the region.
- Collaborate internally with Viridien's technical, legal, and finance teams, to ensure seamless project execution in new markets, and develop new multi-client surveys.
- Work with our sales teams, and directly with clients, to ensure new surveys are aligned with project development needs.
- Represent the company at international conferences, trade missions, and industry forums to strengthen brand presence and advocacy efforts.
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven robust network of contacts within target Oil & Gas companies.
- Experienced in developing and negotiating large, complex seismic programs.
- Good technical working knowledge of geological and geophysical datasets.
- Self-starter that is well organized with excellent time management skills; is meticulous and intellectually curious with clear attention to detail.
- A team player who can work effectively with internal and external teams and communicate clearly with colleagues, peers, and management is essential. Advanced English language skills, including strong reading, writing, and speaking abilities, are required.
Desirable:
- Experience in seismic acquisition, processing or interpretation.
- French is highly desirable.

- Start date as soon as possible
- We are located in Crawley, just south of London—well connected to the capital, the South Coast, and Gatwick Airport for international travel.
- Full time permanent contract
