The Advanced Coordinator Transportation/Logistics for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for oversight and direction in Japan Logistics & Distribution (L&D) function. This position will be responsible for providing transportation and distribution though leadership, as well as the execution of all key logistics and trade compliance processes in Japan. 

This position is part of the Japan L&D function located in Mishima, Shizuoka, Japan and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time. 

You will be a part of the Japan L&D team and report to the Japan Logistics Manager responsible for Transportation and Warehousing. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
•    Plan export shipments for internal and external customers overseas, actively engaging with multiple stakeholders to gather and integrate their diverse requirements.
•    Acquire METI export permit to support customers in Russia and provide critical updates and communicate status of permit applications to global teams.
•    Collaborate with Logistics & Distribution associates in Beckman Coulter warehouses.
•    Maintain business relationships with Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders
•    Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics to measure efficiency and improvement of L&D Associates from views of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory and Productivity
•    Improve Freight and Warehousing processes and systems; driving towards “Best-In-Class” operations.
•    Lead and participate in Kaizen projects in collaboration with internal & external stakeholders


The essential requirements of the job include: 
•    High school degree and 6 years of working experience in Supply Chain or Logistics industry
•    Business-level English proficiency (Vantage), in addition to Japanese

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
•    Experience working with government agencies
•    Experience with ERP system
•    Teamwork spirit to help others to accomplish team objectives and duties.
•    Open mindset to learn new things and challenge the status quo.
•    Strong critical thinking skills, ability to exercise independent judgment and manage complexity and ambiguity
