About your team

This role is part of the Pension Sales team and works closely with both the Institutional Sales teams and the RFP Team to support business development in the Japan institutional market. The Institutional Sales teams—including Pension Sales, Consulting Relationship (CR), OAM/Wrap, and Financial Institution Group—focus on building and strengthening relationships with consulting firms and DC plan administrators.

The RFP Team complements these efforts by producing high‑quality RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs across institutional and wholesale channels. You will collaborate with both teams, as well as investment, product, compliance, client service, and global offices, to deliver consistent and effective engagement with clients and consultants.

About your role
As an Institutional Sales & RFP Manager, you will take on a dual responsibility combining relationship management and proposal development:

Relationship Management (Consultants & DC Plan Administrators)

  • Maintain and develop relationships with consulting firms and DC plan administrators, coordinating meeting requests, questionnaires, and reporting needs.
  • Manage administrative workflows such as scheduling, tracking deadlines, maintaining contact lists, and organizing market and evaluation data.
  • Monitor client needs, business environment, and satisfaction levels to identify opportunities for stronger collaboration.
  • Partner closely with Sales teams to support long‑term business development initiatives.

RFP / RFI / DDQ Creation

  • Prepare and submit RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs across institutional and wholesale channels.
  • Work with internal and global teams to gather accurate information and ensure timely, high‑quality deliverables.
  • Contribute to data management, RFP database updates, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency.

Team Contribution

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Japan Institutional Business Division to support shared goals and business growth.

About you

  • 3–5+ years of experience in pension or institutional sales within asset management; DC business exposure is a plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience in RFP/RFI/DDQ creation within asset management is strongly preferred.
  • Broad investment management knowledge; CMA/CFA or client‑facing experience is highly valued.
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills, written and oral.
  • Strong organization, detail orientation, and ability to manage multiple deadlines proactively.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with sales, investment, product, and global teams.
